Bologna Welcomes the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Travelling Exhibition
The travelling yellow tent of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers has opened in Bologna, as part of a travelling programme visiting Italian cities.
Around 100 people attended the opening, including representatives of communities assisted by Volunteer Ministers after natural disasters.
Among them was Pianoro Mayor Luca Vecchiettini, news europe today who spoke about the relationship established with the volunteers after severe flooding in 2024. Restaurateur Fabrizio Lazzarini also recalled the Volunteer Ministers helping his business recover after the flooding.
Andrea Ferrarini, formerly involved with civil protection in Bondeno, also remembered assistance provided after the 2012 earthquakes.
The Volunteer Ministers programme was established in 1976 by L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, the programme provides practical methods for addressing everyday difficulties as well as assistance during emergencies.
Inside the Bologna tent, visitors can view photographs and videos documenting Volunteer Ministers activities while learning about communication, relationships, study, work and family life.
Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, described the Bologna initiative as a reflection of the role citizens can play in strengthening their communities.
The Bologna exhibition highlights a programme that operates both in times of disaster and in everyday community life.
